When I founded CollegeTown Properties in 2010, I set out to become an industry leader in the student housing market. Just a few years later, CollegeTown Properties is a successful full service Real Estate firm specializing in the development, marketing, and management of student-driven properties in Knoxville, Clemson, & my hometown of Athens, GA.

Prior to 2012 most of my investments were in stocks, but I knew I needed a change. I moved my investments to real estate and founded Onyx Property Management, LLC. With Onyx I wanted to create a business that could match people with quality homes that fit their needs while also working to foster the growth of tight-knit neighborhoods.

After spending twenty years as a real estate investor and owner of Cedar Creek Mobile Home Park, I’ve seen many property management systems come and go. Most of these systems were desktop based, difficult to learn, and even harder to use. None of them were a good fit for my business model and I knew I needed to try something different.

I’m the project director for Four Athens. In this capacity I provide information, guidance and assistance with business strategy and financial planning. I also assist Four Athens members in finding sources of funding while progressing through their respective startup phases.
